I made an mix recently with my favorite style of music, i think that i always looking for songs with that tempo and style, i'm not an expert but...

Kevin I. - St. (81) (IBR)

Mysterious hawaian production in sounds between slow and funky disco songs like "Lady Of The Disco". One slow one is called "Slow Dancing".

Out Of The Fog - St. (82) (Fog Eye Records)

Mega rare modern soul very nice, mostly all the songs are very good and with an particulary style sometimes aor, but soul mostly like "Heart To Heart" very nice one!!. Another very good song is called "Closer To Abandon".

Ride - Ride (77?)

Misterious psychedelic funky rock band very exclusive, with an unique style like this one "Believe" what an psychedelic move!!! it's hard to get with this style specially if you're looking for soft music or not too much rock, can i considerer aor? probably but also has funky and rock moves, anyway there is another amazing lovely song called "Butterflies" crazy excellent song, another is called "Not So Very Often"  and finally one nice called "Two of Us".

Judy Anton - Smile (78) (Continental)

Awesome Modern soul, simply awesome production mostly all the musicians are japanese, must be the reason of the pure mellow melodies, two fine songs "Living in the city" and the vanelli's cover "The River Must Flow". Pd more references in recoromak's blog and his ripps.

Phillip Francis Stumpo - One Man Circus (78) (Billetdoux Record Group)

Nice and Sweet soul from San Francisco, i prefer the fast soul than the slows, anyway it's an very memorable lp very recommend it!! like this song "Just A Matter of Time" and "Don't Hold Back Your Love", much more references in recoromak's page.

Melvin Couch - What Would The World Be Like Without Jesus (88) (Grammercy Records)

Nice Modern Soul Gospel with an touch of funk very nice for example this song "Lord Been Good To Me" and the self tittle song.

Tata Vega - Time's So Right (87) (Royal)

An extremely Good Christian Westcoast Gospel LP with a lot of funky and soul influences, with an prosperous musical repertory and with a lot of musical supports like Andrae Crouch, Abraham Laboriel and others.  I chose one exclusive song called "You Love is Live", excellent song, another cover song from the Three sog Night called "It's A Jungle" and finally and sweet song called "Touch Somebody"

Isadora Ellis - Things Will Work Out Fine (84) (DME)

Another raritie modern soul gospel production, i think is the first reference on internet, very lovely gospel like this song "Jesus I Love You" and "God Loves you". Pd Jens's Ripps!!.

Rodney Friend - Worthy A Gathering Of Worship, Praise & Understanding (86) (command)

One of the most representative LP from the modern soul gospel Genre, one of the best lps that i've listening in my life contain pure sweet melodies and joyful songs, like "Worthy", excellent song reminds me to Ron kenoly's 90's music, another lovely spiritually song is called "I Put My Trust In Thee". Is very weir to find more than 2 or 3 goods songs inside an lp, well in this case there is almost like 5 good songs!!, i present also one funky sophisticaded song called "My Hero", terrible CCM/Funk song!. PD: Jens's Ripp, the best!.

Alvin Darling Ensemble - All Together For One (78) (Inspirational Sounds)

One of the most fantastic boogie inspirational sound that i ever heard in my life is this  alvin darling lp, wow what an great modern soul gospel is this lp but mostly there is one terrible killer gospel song called "Is There Anybody Here" just an masterpiece song!!! it's become everyday more interesting to find this kind of treasures, thanks God for this one simply an masterpiece gospel song. PD:  Anti-Bentley's ripp, thanks for this treasure!!!.

Henry Kapono & Tropical Heat - Kona Winds -(84)

Another killer Hawaian production now the other guy from "Cecilio & kapono" this is one lp who does it worth to promote, one  of my favorites from his discography this is more aor than westcoast but also contain slow moves. My favorite song is kalled "I Need Yor Lovin'" an real killer one!! and another good song is called like the self tittle album.

Cecilio - St. (83) (Woorell)

Wow! (my first impression) when i found an reference on "souldennis" yeah fantastic Hawaian production, excellent aor westcoast comparable with "jim photoglo" "chris christian", "glenn frey", "lava", "jakob magnusson", etc.  With "Loyal Garner" on vocals in mostly of the songs i chose" "Here We Are" like "Lobo" style, another called "Lisalove" an Killer aor fantastic slow and finally one little reggae stuff called "Baby Why You Wanna Go". PD: recoromak's Ripp, the best!!.

Harry Booker - Let God Arise (80) (Azure Records)

Excellent Modern soul/funk gospel who contain three bombs in my opinion, one of this is pure aor modern soul very lovely called "Catch Yourself a Goodtime", another more funky killer song is "Glory On" excellent song!!! very lovely and spiritual song, and finally one killer funky boogie song very goooooood called "Sweeping Through The City". Pd. Thanks Florian again and again and again... ;)

Howard Mccrary - So Good (85) (A&M)

From Mccrarys's group and an Grammy winner awards for "best gospel lp" Bring us this excellent artist from the modern soul Gospel or Westcoast CCM style who contain one of the bombs "So Good", an terrible excellent song!!! very nice, lovely song very aor!!, music like this we can find mostly in CCM artists like "Pete Carlson", "Jim Schmidt", "Farrell & Farrell" and others. I think that this is the cross between aor music lovers and funky music lovers, artist like this, Rodney Friend, Billy & Sarah Gaines,etc. There is another good song called "Keep On Shinin'". Pd Thanks to Florian For this lovely treasure!!!.

Sneakers - Katbeat (84) (Mercury)

Killer aor rare from Denmark very good and nice quality, very well played. The most exclusive song in this lp is called "Skt. Peders Engle" very nice aor westcoast!!!, the second more soft song is called "Cool Angent", very recommend it lp!!!.

Peter Cupples - Half The Effort Twice The Effect (84) (Mercury)

Excellent Australian guy with the tipically westcoast style with his song "Love Of Another World" with an very aor influences very good, weir that here in Chile did not hit here in the 80's.

Bennie Henderson & Family - Time Is Winding Up (86) (Family Records)

Amazing Gospel Productions, everyday i surprice to find new gospels like this, an really God's gift, i present two lovelys songs called " I've Been Born Again" and "Look What God Has Done" excellent boths.

Souls A'fire - Bread Of Life (79)

What can i say about this group?, an Raphael Green's production, very sophisticaded gospel, very spiritual by the way, excellent with an very particular style, similar like the lp  of "wings of light" from the 79's year, i present one killer gospel unique in his style called "Come Unto Me" killer!!!! Thanks God for lost treasures like this!!!, and another lovely song with an retro touch callled like the self tittle  band "Soul A'fire". Shirley Finney - A Song For You (81-84?) (Logos Records)

An terrible Modern Soul Gospel Funk who bring this unknow artist, very rare i can say, i think this is the first page that give to know, anyway i present one song called "Jesus is the Light" killer with Aor touch and funk style and one killer Funk Boogie song called "I'm Goin Through", Superbe!! boths.
